1. Participants will marshal from the White Spot parkade at Park Royal South Shopping Centre on Marine Drive in West Vancouver, and will proceed over the Lion's Gate Bridge, Stanley Park Causeway, and Georgia Street to rally at the Robson Street Staircase of the Vancouver Art Gallery, located in the Hornby/Howe (800)block of Georgia Street.

2. Participants may join the march at any point along the route.

3. At noon, the march will resume to carry the message the final block to the Supreme Court at 800 Smith Street.

4. The Judicial Grinch is the theme for 2006.

5. What to wear: Christmas attire in Santa/Grinch/Judge Suits or just Santa/Grinch Masks and/or Hats.

6. What to bring:

• Jingle Bells and costume attire as above for others if you have spare.

• F4J protest signs and flyers if you have them,

• Pictures of your absent, abducted or missing children.

• Bullhorns, Air horns, Whistles, and noisemakers in general.

Families-4-Justice (Canada) in partnership with Fathers-4-Justice wish to announce their support for this Annual initiative.

On Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, F4J Canada will once again initiate the Santa's March for Family Justice.

The march begins at 10:00am, proceeding from the White Spot parking lot in the south mall of the Park Royal Shopping Centre. The route will cross the Lion's Gate Bridge, the Stanley Park Causeway, and proceed along Georgia St. to the Vancouver Art Gallery at Hornby Street.

The marchers will rally with other concerned citizens, parents and children alike, at the Robson Street staircase of the Vancouver Art Gallery.

The anticipated marching time is 90 minutes from West Vancouver to the Art Gallery, and we will proceed the final block south to the Supreme Court building 800 Smithe Street, for a final ceremony to leave our message where it needs to be heard.

The theme for this year's march is the Grinch Who Stole Christmas, which seems fitting to the hundreds of thousands of BC children over recent years who have had to suffer their holiday without both their parents, because court orders have unlawfully disenfranchised one of these children's parents.

Children need and want both their parents throughout their lives, and it is appalling that the courts of BC claim to act in the best interests of the child by removing a parent.

Notwithstanding constitutional guarantees of the security of the person in Canada, citizens of BC find themselves increasingly under threat against their children.

Children are routinely removed from the care and custody of their parents, and even where they're not, their education and nurture are increasingly being commandeered by the state in directions that are against the natural purview of the children's own parentage.

The courts of BC are being used not to protect the rights and freedoms of the people of BC, nor Canada, but rather to give political advantage and the power of the state to a small group of people who wish to exert undue influence on the future and shape of our society.

The devastation that the courts bring to the lives of the parents they orphan violates at least four clauses of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Nevertheless, the unlawful abuse and exploitation of our children is a career for some government employees, and these demonstrations must continue until justice is returned to our children.

The annual F4J Santa March will marshal in the S.E. corner of Park Royal at the White Spot Parking Lot, beginning at 9:30 a.m. We will march at 10:00 a.m.  Some Santa Suits will be made available for those who do not have their own. We will have a dozen signs, split able into two. Bring everything you got for costumes, signs, gifts, noisemakers, drums, bullhorns! The march can be divided into thirds, each approximately 2.5 km in distance, for a total march distance of 7.5 km.

1. The first leg is from the Park Royal WhiteSpot Restaurant East on Marine turning south to the south side of the Lion's Gate Bridge (at the overpass)

2. The second leg is from the overpass to the end of the Lost Lagoon

3. The third leg is from the Lost Lagoon up Georgia St. to Hornby, turning south a block to the south stairwell of the Vancouver Art Gallery.

Each leg of the march will take approximately 30 minutes. We anticipate arrival at the VAG at 11:30am. We expect to have relief pickups at the Santa March breakpoints described above at 2) the south side of the Lion's Gate Bridge, and & 3) at the beginning of downtown Vancouver, just past the Lost Lagoon, to ferry any exhausted marchers on to the VAG.

There are discrete parking opportunities on the south west end of the LGB (the Lookout Point walkway) where an 'ambulance' of sorts may take up position by driving south across the bridge and pulling over as soon as you're clear of the bridge. Vehicles can lurk well around Lost Lagoon, too, to pick up the exhausted and/or deliver fresh troops.

When we arrive at the Vancouver Art Gallery we will hold a rally to give up the toy gifts we thwarted Santas would have liked to give our very, very nice children, had they not been kidnapped from us by the courts of BC (as elsewhere). We will also commit donations we brought for the Food Bank, and children's clothing, which our absent children have outgrown without ever seeing....

The last thing we will have to do is deliver Santa's gifts for the Very Very Naughty Supreme Court Justices. Each will get a lump of coal, which they will have to pick up themselves from the lovely cardboard sleigh prepared to carry them and leave behind for them outside the northwest third floor entrance, within sight of the perverted statue of Themis, goddess of Justice. F4J Santas will also have three special gifts for the naughtiest BC Court of Appeal Justices. BCCA Madam Justices Southin, Prowse and Newbury, as the final judgement of the BC courts, signed a judgment that contained this statement:

"FATHERS HAVE NO RIGHTS"

For that indignity to fatherhood, Santas will show their displeasure with the naughty Madam Justices by giving them each a gift wrapped, personalized gift. Santas' not saying, but rumor has it that if the naughty Justices get naught but a lump of coal, the naughtiest will also get something brown, squishy & stinky.

Warning! The east sidewalk (i.e. northbound vehicle lanes' sidewalk) of the Lion's Gate Bridge is closed. If possible we will confine ourselves over the Bridge to the remaining West sidewalk. However, the west sidewalk would normally give us a minimum six feet width, but due to the temporary inboard mounting of what appears to be 12" water pipe under a pressure test, things are a little tighter for the length of the Bridge crossing.

However, there is a restriction at the south pylon of the bridge that is reduced to 30" at a point by plywood hoarding around the pylon intruding into the walkway.       More ... 2005-12-17  F4J Santa March, Vancouver, BC, (Cont)
